Armour Glaze

Conservatory glass replaced, one pane at a time

Conservatories get more sun, more rain and bigger swings in temperature than any other glazing in the house. When a pane fails, we replace that pane, so the rest of the structure stays as it is.

Why conservatory panes fail

Sealed units in a conservatory work hard. Heat and cold cause constant expansion and contraction, which is tough on the seals, and after enough years a pane or two will often start to mist up. Because each pane is its own sealed unit, the others may be perfectly fine.

Getting more from your conservatory

When replacing panes, it is worth asking about the glass specification. Low E coated glass helps keep heat in during winter, and self cleaning glass is a practical choice for panes that are awkward to reach. Tell us how you use the room and we will suggest what would make a difference.

Common questions

Can you replace a single conservatory pane?

Yes. Each pane is a separate sealed unit, so one failed pane can be replaced without touching the others.

Do you replace conservatory roof glass?

Tell us about your roof when you ask for a quote. Access and glass type vary, so we will look at the details before advising you.
